Ladera Ranch 4th of July

Hey there! The Ladera Ranch 4th of July is hands down one of the best days of the year in our community, and 2026 is shaping up to be a good one.

Here is the short version: the celebration happens Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Founders Park (28275 Avendale Blvd), the main event runs 4:00 to 9:30 p.m., and the fireworks go off at dark. LARCS puts on what is known as one of the BEST fireworks shows in all of South Orange County, and you do not have to leave the neighborhood to see it.

Below I have the full schedule, the parking and bike rules (this one trips people up every year!), what is there for the kids, and a full list of other Orange County fireworks shows in case you want to make a day of it somewhere else.

What time is the Ladera Ranch 4th of July celebration and where is it?

The Ladera Ranch 4th of July celebration is Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Founders Park, with the main event from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. and fireworks at dark. You can start setting down blankets at 6am (no earlier or security will pick them up).

It all happens at Founders Park, 28275 Avendale Blvd, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694.

The day actually kicks off way earlier with the Freedom Run in the morning, then the park comes alive in the afternoon with games, food trucks, a concert, and the big show after sunset. Here is the full rundown.

A few things I love about this lineup: the Teen Zone is FREE for grades 6 through 12, which is huge for parents of tweens and teens. The Cupcake Bake-Off is so fun. And a 90s Rock Show for the concert? Yes please. Just know the schedule is always subject to change, so double-check the official LARCS event page before you head out.

What do the kids’ activities cost?

The afternoon games and rides run on activity wristbands, and it is a cashless event, so bring a card.

Wristbands are $10 if you pre-purchase, or $20 at the event. You can also grab individual activity tickets for $1 each at the Ticket Booth. Everything is credit card only (no cash anywhere), so leave the wallet full of singles at home. Pre-purchase wristbands are picked up at the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse on the dates LARCS lists, or at the Ticket Booth starting at 3:45 p.m. on July 4.

Heads up: the pre-purchase price and deadline can change year to year, so confirm on the LARCS page before you count on the cheaper rate.

The rides need closed-toed shoes and have height requirements (most are 42 inches or taller), so plan the kids’ outfits accordingly. And an adult has to be with any child under 12 at all times.

Parking, road closures, and the bike rule everyone asks about

Ladera Ranch 4th of July Map

This is the part people get wrong every year, so let’s clear it up.

Quick clarification: The Ladera Ranch 4th of July is a “bike-free, pro-stroll” event. That does NOT mean leave your bike at home. It means you ride your bike TO the event, park it in the designated bike area, and then walk the rest of the way in. Bikes, e-bikes, and electric vehicles are not allowed inside the event area itself.

If you are biking in, Sienna Parkway is the main route to the bike parking area in front of the Ladera Ranch Library. Bring a lock, wear your helmet, and clear your bike out by 10:00 p.m. (after that, LARCS cuts locks and moves bikes to the school racks).

For cars, several streets close for safety, including Sellas Road N, Avendale Blvd, Daisy Street, and others. If you live near a closure, move your vehicles out early or you risk being towed (LARCS lists a specific morning deadline, so check the detour map for the exact time). Handicap parking is in the north Avendale Clubhouse parking lot and you must show a placard to the attendant. It is first-come, first-serve, so arrive early.

A few more good-to-knows: no pets except service dogs, no personal fireworks (this can actually delay or cancel the show, so report illegal fireworks to OCSD), no drones, no glass, no BBQs or open flames, and you cannot set down blankets to claim a spot before 6:00 a.m.

Why the Ladera Ranch fireworks are worth staying local for

Here is my honest take as someone who lives here: the Ladera Ranch show is genuinely one of the best in South OC, and you get it without fighting beach traffic or paying for parking.

You walk over with your neighbors, the kids run around Founders Park all afternoon, you grab dinner from a food truck, the 90s cover band plays, and then everyone settles in on their blankets for the show. It feels like the whole community is in one place. That is the stuff that makes people fall in love with Ladera Ranch in the first place, and it is a big reason families keep moving here. If you want more local guides like this, I keep them all on the Ladera Ranch section of my blog.

Why work with a local who actually lives here

I am not just an agent who sells in Ladera Ranch. I live here, I raise my kids here, and I am at these events right alongside you.

When you are buying or selling, that local knowledge matters more than people realize. Which villages walk easiest to Founders Park, where the good trick-or-treating streets are, which neighborhoods feel most like a community on the 4th of July. That is the stuff you only know by being here. If you are weighing where to land in our area, I wrote a whole guide on the best South OC neighborhoods for families that is a good place to start.

Where is the Ladera Ranch 4th of July celebration held?

It is at Founders Park, 28275 Avendale Blvd, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694. The main event runs from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m., with the Freedom Run races earlier that morning.

Yes, but it is a “bike-free, pro-stroll” event, which means you ride to the event and park your bike in the designated area by the Ladera Ranch Library, then walk in. Bikes and e-bikes are not allowed inside the event area, and all bikes must be cleared out by 10:00 p.m.

Can I bring my dog to the fireworks?

No, pets are not allowed except for service dogs. Honestly, the loud fireworks are tough on most dogs anyway, so they are usually happier and calmer at home.
